Questions before booking
The questions below come up most often before a first appointment. If yours is not here, email us and we will answer it directly rather than pointing you at a page.

Your first appointment, at a glance
Who you speak to
Registered nutritionists with degree-level training in nutrition science. Nothing vague about who is on the call.
What it costs
A flat first-session price and a lower follow-up price. No packages, no subscriptions, no minimum number of sessions.
What you need
A phone, tablet, or laptop with a camera. No app, no account, no download before the appointment.
Open a question to read the full answer. These cover qualifications, session length, payment, cancellations, the technology you need, and what to tell us about medical conditions or medication.
Our nutritionists hold degree-level qualifications in nutrition science and are registered with the Association for Nutrition. You can verify a registration number on the Association's public register if you want to check before booking. We are not dietitians, and we do not present ourselves as one. If your situation needs dietetic or medical input, we will say so and refer you to your GP or an NHS dietitian rather than stretch our own role.
A first consultation runs for 50 minutes and costs £65. It includes a written plan delivered within two working days of the appointment. Follow-up consultations are 30 minutes and cost £40. There are no packages, subscriptions, or minimum number of sessions, so you can stop after the first appointment if that is what suits you. If you are unsure whether a first session or a follow-up is the right starting point, mention it when you book and we will suggest one.
Payment is by bank transfer after we confirm your slot, or by card at the start of the appointment. We do not collect card details through this website, so nothing payment-related happens here. If cost is a barrier, say so in your request; we keep a small number of reduced-rate slots each month and will tell you honestly whether one is available.
Cancel or move your appointment at least 24 hours ahead and there is no charge. Later cancellations may be charged. If you are unwell on the day, contact us and we will find another time rather than treat it as a late cancellation. The same applies if something urgent comes up at work or at home; telling us as early as you can gives the slot to somebody else.
You need a phone, tablet, or laptop with a camera and enough signal for a video call. There is nothing to install and no account to create. We email a link before the appointment, and you open it in your browser at the agreed time. If your connection drops partway through, we continue by phone and can reschedule the video part at no cost. Please join from somewhere you can speak freely for the whole session.
Tell us about any diagnosed condition and any medication you take, including blood thinners and thyroid medication. Nutrition advice can interact with how some drugs work, and your GP should know what we have suggested. Where a blood test would answer the question, we ask you to request it from your GP rather than guessing at numbers. You do not need a diagnosis to book; you only need to be honest about what you already know.
We work on everyday nutrition questions: eating patterns that fit a busy week, iron and vitamin D intake, energy around training, and food choices alongside a long-term condition your GP is already managing. We do not promise a fixed outcome, and we will not tell you that one plan suits everybody. The written plan starts from what you already eat, what you can realistically change first, and where a GP or dietitian should be involved instead of us. For an overview of the areas we cover, see how online consultations work.
